Rapid antigen tests are lateral flow assays (LFAs) that detect the presence of the specific viral antigens (proteins) of the virus. Antigen tests are most effective in the 2 days before the onset of symptoms and for the next 3 days starting when symptoms develop.* These tests are relativity inexpensive when compared to PCR testing, offer results in 15-30 minutes, and are useful for screening, and surveillance of COVID-19.

The Rapid Response™ comes in a package of 5 individual tests, with each test having an individually packed swab and buffer solution. 

Tests are Health Canada approved and can be purchased for use by:

Limitations Apply:

People infected with COVID-19 may test negative for several days before testing positive on RAT. Therefore, a negative test may represent a false negative and the infection status of the individual may change within hours of taking the test. Those with a negative one-off RAT should still follow existing public health measures including masking and limiting contacts.

Cold Weather Statement:

Please be aware that rapid test kits can be temporarily exposed to sub-zero (0°C) temperatures without damaging the effectiveness of the test or buffer solution. However, in order to maintain the kits’ effectiveness, it is essential to bring it to room temperature before use. If the test is completed while the kit is still cold it could produce inaccurate results. We recommend bringing the test kit to room temperature 4-6 hours before use.

1. Is COVIDdetect approved to sell the rapid testing devices?
Yes, we hold a Medical Devices Establishment license to sell Health Canada approved rapid testing devices.

2. What is the benefit of Rapid Testing?
The rapid test device is a great screening tool for organizations that want to try to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 lockdowns or for family & individuals. The test offers fast and easy-to-use screening.


3. We’re a business operating in QC, BC, NS, or NFLD – when can I buy rapid tests?
If your business is currently situated in BC, NS, or NL, we can manually process orders over 500 tests, please email ProgramConsultant@DriverCheck.ca or call 1 (800) 463-4310, option #8, to speak with a team member.

You can’t buy rapid tests in those provinces directly on Shopify due to existing regulations. We’ll change our rules if the provincial regulations change.

4. Can I purchase these rapid tests to use for travelling?
The rapid test cannot be used for travel purposes in Canada at this time. While these tests may be accepted in some countries, Canada currently requires an administered PCR test for travel purposes. The rapid antigen test is largely used for screening to ensure peace of mind.

5. Can I purchase these for an upcoming event?
Yes, you can use rapid tests as a
personal screening tool.

6. Can I use them for my child?
Yes, you can use the test to screen children. Please follow the instructions carefully.

1. What should I do if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Please email us at COVIDdetect-shopify@drivercheck.ca and we can help with changing the address. If the order has already been shipped, we may not be able to help. All sales are final.

2. What should I do if I didn’t receive an order confirmation?
Please email us at COVIDdetect-shopify@drivercheck.ca and we can help. Kindly check that you’ve added the correct email address to the order information and please ensure the email wasn’t mistakenly directed to the spam folder prior to the call.

3. Can I track my package?
You will be able to track your package once the order has dispatched. You will receive a shipping email with a tracking number along with an out for delivery and delivery confirmation emails.

4. How can I cancel my order?
If the order has not been shipped, you may be able to cancel the order. Please email us at COVIDdetect-shopify@drivercheck.ca. All sales are final.

5. Can I return the product?
All sales are final. Given the tampering rule as well as temperature management guidelines regarding medical devices, you will not be able to return any products once delivered.

6. Can I get a refund if I cancel the order before it ships?
If cancelled before being shipped, you’ll get a full refund minus any handling and restocking fees incurred in the process.

7. My package was lost and I never received it.
